Two Men in Final Showdown in ‘Bread, Love and Dreams’ Two men have come to a showdown in “Bread, Love and Dreams.” In the episode #29, Gu Il-jung (Jun Guang-lyul) happens to overhear the conversation between his wife Seo In-suk (Jun In-hwa) and her lover Han Seung-jae (Chung Sung-mo) and learns that they were involved in the death of his mother a decade ago. When Il-jung confronts them, Seung-jae pushes Il-jung down, saying that his time is over. But their son Gu Ma-jun (Ju Won) comes into the room and Il-jung holds his hand. Ma-jun, who witnessed what happened between his grandmother and his mother back then as a child, tells Il-jung, “I am so sorry, father. I was so young that there was nothing I could do to help grandmother other than knocking on your room’s door.” Il-jung remembers he came out of the room to see what it happened but found his mother lying collapsed because Ma-jun had hidden himself in fear. The two men take action to put each other into the corner. Seung-jae set a trap to catch Cho Jin-gu (Park Seong-woong), who betrayed him to help Il-jung. It seems his plan succeeds when Jin-gu shows up. But Jin-gu goes to Seung-jae to deceive him once again for Il-jung. Il-jung tells Seung-jae, “You have two options -- either to go to the police or take this plane ticket. The ticket will help you leave the country to safety.” But with a hidden card -- he has ordered his men to kidnap Kim Tak-gu (Yoon Si-yoon), Il-jung's son out of wedlock. Seung-jae refuses to do either and rather threatens Il-jung to choose between Tak-gu or his company. |
Couple Divorces at Last in ‘Happiness in the Wind’ A couple has ended up divorcing in "Happiness in the Wind." In the episode #160, Kwon Oh-bok (Kim So-eun) and Jang Dae-han (Jin Yi-han) at last filed a divorce after failing to work out misunderstanding between each other. Since Choi Mi-ran (Lee Sung-min), Dae-han’s former girlfriend who gave a birth to a son with Dae-han, wants her son back, Oh-bok decides that she herself should leave so that their son can live with his birth mother. On the other hand, Dae-han comes to wrongly believe Oh-bok wants to end their marriage to start her life again with her childhood friend Kim Gi-cheol (Kang Eun-tak). But all that is not true, and the two still love each other, which is evident when they exchange last words and sadly look at each other's retreating figure after leaving the court. The news of their divorce shocks the entire family as well. Dae-han’s parents feel despair, and his son becomes angry at him, saying, “You should have asked her for forgiveness no matter what.” Dae-han and Oh-bok keep thinking about each other as well, visiting places they had been to when dating. Meanwhile, Jang Min-guk (Lee Hyun-jin) seemed to have given up his love for Lee Gang-hee (Kim Mi-sook), his high school teacher who is 20 years his senior. When his grandmother went to a fortuneteller to ask about a good day for him to marry his childhood friend Ha Sol-ji (Jeong Da-young), he said that he would think about it. But it still remains to be seen whether he will decide to marry Sol-ji or not, since he does not yet know that Gang-hee told a lie that she would marry a doctor when she actually has stomach cancer and only a few months to live.
