Star’s Natural Talent for Baking Spotted by Father in ‘Bread, Love, and Dreams’ A protagonist in the KBS drama “Bread, Love and Dreams” (제빵왕 김탁구) has unwittingly revealed his talent for baking. In the episode #4, child Kim Tak-gu runs into Gu Il-jung (Jun Guang-lyul) while trying to run away from Han Seung-jae (Chung Sung-mo). Il-jung asks Tak-gu how he entered the venue late at night, and Tak-gu answers, “I don’t know myself. I just smelled something in my sleep and followed that smell, ending up finding myself here.”   Il-jung lets Tak-gu watch him baking bread and taste it. He also tells Tak-gu about how he has come to run a bread company. Wondering how Tak-gu could smell the bread even before he started baking, Il-jung asks him what kind of smell it was. Tak-gu says, “It smelled like sweet candies or rice wine. It was the smell I smelled whenever I went by a bakery, so I thought it was the smell of bread.” This remark has enabled Il-jung to sense that Tak-gu is a born baker with an extraordinary sense of smell. Tak-gu is a son of Il-jung out of wedlock, but since Tak-gu’s mother left him without telling him about the pregnancy, he does not know that she has borne the Tak-gu. His son Ma-jun is actually the offspring of his wife Seo In-suk (Jun In-hwa) and his man Seung-jae. In-suk slept with Seung-jae out of revenge for her husband’s affair with Tak-gu’s mother.  The next day, Il-jung takes Tak-gu and his son Ma-jun to his factory and asks them to find out the right one for making bread out of four kinds of dough, while other staff members at the factory are looking on. Ma-jun feels the texture of them with his finger, but Tak-gu smells them and comes up with an unexpected answer. “None of the doughs here are suitable for making bread because they do not smell the same as the one you [Il-jung] showed me last time,” Tak-gu says. “It smelled sweet and sour, but these do not.” Meanwhile, Il-jung’s mother learns about an inappropriate relationship between her daughter-in-law In-suk and Seung-jae, and Ma-jun also finds out about secrets behind his birth. With the child protagonists becoming grown-ups, the drama is raising greater expectations.

A new drama - 'Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho' A new drama is coming next Monday (in Seoul) following last week's final episode of "Secret Agent Miss Oh".  And here's the introduction of "Grudge: The Revolt of Gumiho" (구미호: 여우누이뎐) "Gumiho, the nine-tailed fox which has shape-shifting abilities, endures 10 harsh years of marriage in order to become a human. However, her husband breaks his promise the night before the ten-year mark. Betrayed Gumiho leaves her husband with her 9-year-old daughter Yeoni, who has inherited the mother's ability. Gumiho feels disillusioned with human society and make a new home in a cave, but Yeoni has a hard time adjusting herself living in the new surroundings. Gumiho decides to stay in a human village until Yeoni becomes fully grown, since Yeoni gets a complete shape of fox when she becomes 10 years old. Even though Gumiho couldn’t succeed on becoming a human, all she wants is living a happy life with her lovely daughter. However, her dream breaks in pieces when Yeoni gets cruelly murdered by people. Now, the vindictive mother Gumiho begins her revenge."   Actor Park Yong Ha Found Dead at Home People in the entertainment industry have been shocked by the news of Hallyu actor Park Yong Ha’s death and they all said, “It is hard to believe.” In particular, people are responding that they cannot understand why he committed suicide in a situation where he is planning to film a new drama from the end of next month and he is actively performing as a singer in Japan. Park Yong Ha had actively participated in performances in Japan as a Hallyu actor and singer, and he also appeared in the movie “The Scam” and the drama “The Slingshot" (A Man’s Story, 남자이야기) in Korea last year. He had also shown enthusiasm about his new drama “Love Song,” which will begin filming from next month. People in the entertainment industry mostly said that they do not know whether he suffered from depression or not, but they all agreed that Park had been under pressure due to his father’s struggle against stomach cancer and the establishment of his own entertainment management company. A person in the entertainment industry expressed his opinion, “After Park Yong Ha personally established the management company, he might have suffered from the heavy responsibility involved in running the company.
